About Us

The Creative Place Seaham – A place for arts, crafts and great coffee! Creativity, culture and well-being.

Bringing creative activity to the He’Art’ of the community The Creative Place Seaham offers a wide range of arty and cultural activities for all ages.

From storytime, art and dance for little ones to adult craft classes such as felting, jewellery making and sewing… spanish classes, our Creative Academy with Arts Award qualifications and baby social, we offer something for everyone!

The Creative Place Seaham is ran by Creative Youth Opportunities CIC and is based at 57 Station Road, in the heart of the community.

The venue is our ‘home’, a source of sustainability for us as a not for profit organisation and a space for arts, crafts, great coffee, creativity, culture and well-being.

The Creative Place Seaham is a creative space where children, young people, families and all members of the community are welcomed to take part in ‘bookable’ arts and crafts activities, themed events and well-being sessions such as baby social.

We are host to a number of external, independent classes too including Vamonos Spanish, BeYou Dance, Tiny Acorns Baby Massage and Goddess SOS.

We have a small coffee bar, a studio/workshop and a great children’s space, as well as a full timetable of things to do. We also sell local artists and makers work… everything from seaglass jewellery and art prints to knitted trinkets and amazing childrens items… so if you’re looking for a gift or a treat, why not give us a try!

All classes and workshops are available to book online in our ‘shop’ and we even offer gift vouchers redeemable against anything we offer!
